FEPA Certification Program

At the 1998 Annual FEPA Conference, the membership adopted the recommendations of the organization's Certification Commission, accepting the draft FEPA Certification Criteria as presented. The program includes credit for those members who have attained certification through the IAEM (formerly NCCEM) Certification Program. The first FPEM and FAEM designations were presented at the 1999 annual conference in Daytona Beach. The complete list of FPEMs and FAEMs is online. In 2002, the Certification Commission developed the first certification for volunteers in the State of Florida (Certified Emergency Management Volunteer – FEMV). All certifications are valid for five (5) years.

The certification and recertification application documents are now available! In order to serve you better, please contact Paul Womble, FEPA Certification Commission Chair, to request a hard copy. You may also download the application forms and associate files from the table below.
